Cognos User Group
Princeton
We have combined our Cognos Users Group (for all Cognos query and report writers in the Information Warehouse) with our Tableau Users Group (which is co-sponsored by CeDAR and the Office of Development). Tableau is a tool acquired to support data analytics and visualization.
The purpose of this group is for Cognos and Tableau users to come together to exchange tips, tricks, and get answers to their questions. Meetings are scheduled on a bi-monthly basis and typically held on Wednesdays. Meetings will be held in the Frist lower-level multi-purpose rooms starting in December of 2019 through April of 2020 to alleviate travel to 701 Carnegie Center during the Alexander Canal bridge construction project. Lunch is provided.
An agenda will be sent out prior to each meeting and CeDAR will be cognizant of your time, thereby scheduling Cognos-like agenda items in one half of the meeting and Tableau-like agenda items in the other. If you would like to add a meeting agenda item, discuss a specific topic, give a demo of a report or dashboard that you've created, or be added to the Users email list, please email CeDAR.
Previous meeting agendas, presentations, and material can be found on the User Group SharePoint site. Authentication to the Princeton network and a valid University login is required.
Anyone interested in joining this group should send an email to CeDAR.
Data Stage User Group
Princeton
DataStage is the University's standard tool for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processing. This product from IBM is an industry standard and has been employed at Princeton since 2012. Anyone interested in joining this group should send an email to the Business and Outreach Team.
Tableau User Group
Princeton Tableau Community
These monthly, one-hour meetups give us an opportunity to come together and discuss all things Tableau. We share Tableau projects, tips, and learning resources to help expand our Tableau knowledge and connect with peers across campus. Meetings are typically held via Zoom from 12pm-1pm. Anyone interested in joining this group should send an email to CeDAR.
